Wrinkle Relaxing Injectables
As we age, repeated contraction of facial muscles cause lines and wrinkles to appear on the skin.
Wrinkle relaxing injectables can be used to temporarily treat wrinkles associated with dynamic muscle movement.
A protein from Botulinum toxin type A is used to form Botox. When injected into a muscle, the protein temporarily blocks the transmission of muscle movement, to significantly reduce contraction and dynamic wrinkles.
Areas we can treat.
Upper face
We can easily treat horizontal lines across the forehead, frown lines between the brows, and ‘crows feet’ around the eyes.
Brow Lift
As we age, the skin around our eyebrows often becomes lax and heavy. We can place small doses of wrinkle relaxing injectable, below the tail of your eyebrow to provide a subtle lifting effect.
Gummy smile
If you show a little too gum when you smile, we can place a small dose of wrinkle relaxing treatment in the levator muscle of your mouth. As a result, the ‘pull’ of the muscle when you smile will be slightly weakened with less elevation. As a result your gum will remain hidden under your smile.
Facial slimming
A strong or over developed masseter muscle (chewing muscle), can make the lower portion of the face appear wide and angular. We can use muscle-relaxing injectables to relax and soften the muscle to give your lower face, a slimmer and more oval shape.
We can also treat
chin dimpling, downturned corners of the mouth, ‘bunny lines’ of the upper nose, neck lines and superficial wrinkles to the upper lip.
The Botox facial
We can also administer micro-doses of injectable anti-wrinkle treatment into the dermis as a full-face mesotherapy treatment. The treatment can improve:
Fine lines and wrinkles, shrink open pores, reduce sebum production, reduce facial sweating and can significantly reduce facial redness and rosacea.
Useful information
- Treatment lasts 4-6 months
- Can cause minor bruising
- Limit activity for 24 hours following treatment
Please note
Botox is a prescription medication and is only available after an initial consultation with Katy (our nurse prescriber). After your consultation, your prescription order will be placed, and your treatment appointment will be scheduled to take place at the earliest convenience.
